Our Programmes

Women and Climate Change Programme

Women at the forefront fighting climate change
In Uganda, most women rely on collecting firewood for cooking and heating to sustain the livelihood of their families. Droughts and unprecedented rains as a result of climate change make it harder for them to maintain their livelihood. Thus far climate change disproportionately impacts women. At Voca Hub Afrika we believe and any response to climate change begins with women. Through research and advocacy activities we hope to create women climate champions that will inspire action against climate change.

Youth and Media Programme

Youth using their voices to power change
At VocaHub Afrika we believe that storytelling is a powerful tool, not only in driving awareness but in bringing about social change.Considering that youth esspecially girls populations are surging in Uganda , their ideas are more important than ever and their voices add value to society.  This programme aims at training girls in story telling skills  through social media, photo stories ,drama and videography  so that they are able to raise their voices about environmental issues in their society. It also aims at improving the quality and coverage of information on women and energy issues.
